Thanks for your Latin apps. Keep on going!!! I enyoy this one very much!

A good app for Latin students...

This game is well-designed and does not have any bugs I noticed. The creator clearly spent a lot of time assembling the vocabulary so every level contains a diverse set of words. My only problem was that I hadnt come across a lot of the words in the Easy section. The description states that the Easy levels have the 350 words most commonly taught to beginners, but Im thirty chapters into Wheelocks Latin and I havent seen many of these words before. The positive side of that is that I can learn more words (and I love learning new Latin words), but when half the words on a level are new, it can be difficult to find an answer. Sometimes, I choose random tiles until I find the word, but that defeats the purpose, I think. However, overall, I would say the game is fun and useful for those who enjoy learning Latin. Perhaps Wheelock is just not as compatible with this game as other textbooks (I havent seen any other books, so I cant say).

Needs work

Not fun...if you get stuck on first word, you cant skip to next word.

Excellent with room for updates

VAST and educational! Great app! Suggestions: expand Easy and Medium to 1500 lists (in app purchase?), fix typo in Hard list#105, add a review function (a chance to do flashcards), and move the Eugape! bubble out of the way of the 7th line. Thanks for another helpful app, Professor Hudson! BTW to other reviewer: to try a different word hit X to clear what youve entered.

Kind of silly

It would make more sense to have entire word available instead of parts. Learning world be more effective. As it is you hardly have any time relating the words to each other.

EXCELLENT! PERECTUS!

LATIN word-building game is simply wonderful! It’s equal parts scrabble and sudoku with an element of leggos and endlessly fun and challenging. After trying it once I had to have it. Since then, it has become my go-to pastime. Its perfect for train commute, for downtime, coffee breaks… I especially love discovering words and word structure I did not know before or recalling long-forgotten morphological idiosyncrasies in familiar words. This game makes for a fantastic way to review and refresh your Latin. You must be willing to exercise and cultivate patience with yourself, though. From the design of the game, I don’t believe the point in playing is to get to the end of each word list, but rather to notice how Latin words come together from their constituent syllabic units. Lots of challenging and rewarding fun for the patient (and humble) student of language. Thank you!

Really Simple

No points, pointless in-app purchases, or time limits. The object is simple, but the content is challenging. Unfortunately, my phone was reset a couple of years back, so I had to start over. If it were possible to save progress in Game Center, that would be perfect.
